TerraCyclic™ Bio Bin is a sanitary waste disposal system.
It consists of a rigid (usually) wall-mounted sanitary unit that holds a flexible, disposable, biodegradable liner that cleverly seals in the waste products.
The outer cylinder comes in three sizes, with white or coloured plastic or stainless steel finishes. While most customers prefer wall-mounted units, floor units are available.
The inner liner (cartridge) has a cap, modesty flap and a bag that contains essential oil deodorisers.
Waste is removed and disposed of inside the cartridge – making this the safest, simplest sanitary waste disposal solution on the market.
TerraCyclic™ Bio Bin Sanitary units are unique in a number of ways:
The Bio Bins fit in even the smallest toilet cubicles (stalls). Off-the-floor units make cleaning easier and more thorough.
Women are also spared the unpleasant experience of brushing up against the usual bulky bins wedged in beside the toilet.
Because the bins are convenient and hygienic, women are more likely to use them. This means less waste is disposed of in the toilet and reduces the embarrassment and expense of blocked drains.
Most sanitary disposal units are emptied and then washed. Whether this is done on- or off-site, it requires a lot of time, staff and equipment. The standard of cleaning is dependant on individuals and therefore can be variable.
TerraCyclic’s unique cartridge system means no cleaning – saving costs, reducing energy use, and protecting users and cleaning staff from touching blood products or unclean surfaces.
TerraCyclic™ Bio Bin cartridges are made from non-toxic, biodegradable plastic and can be safely disposed of in landfills. The deodorising granules are also non-toxic and safe for landfills. TerraCyclic™ Bio Bin has a Carbon Footprint UK Accredited 2-star rating.
The compact cylinders can be transported and stored in halves, reducing costs. The replacement cartridges are very small and are easily stored onsite until they are needed. Click here for assembly/installation instructions.
Other systems use bins that are bulky to handle and store; most need two – one in use and one being cleaned.
